Over 60 Years of Community Service 

Sponsor a Species

Tenafly Nature Center does not maintain a zoo, however we do care for a collection of over 30 resident animals who are unable to be released into the wild. These ambassadors help to educate thousands visitors about the needs of biodiversity and the importance of protecting habitats.

Caring for these animals requires thousands of dollars and your support can help provide food, shelter, medical care, and a nurturing environment for them to live in. 

It take a lot of help from people like you!

Help us care for these amazing animals by contributing to the cost of their upkeep. Your donation assists the center by providing food and medical care, improving enclosures, and supporting staff who care for them.

  • How do I sponsor a TNC species? 
    Please select the button for the level you would like. You will be directed to a page where you can register and pay for your sponsorship.
  • Can I choose the animal I want to sponsor?
    Yes. Please indicate your preference when you submit your sponsorship.
  • Am I the only sponsor of the animal I select?
    Often not. Animal sponsorship's are symbolic, and the funds are earmarked for animal care.
  • Can I name the animal?
    No. Each of our animals already have a name.
  • How long does it take to receive the sponsorship gift package?
    Sponsorship packets are usually mailed within 10-14 business days, but at peak times it may be longer. If you require quicker service please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
