Sponsor a Species

New Jersey is the most densely populated state in the United States, so education is a key component in the protection of our state's natural element. Our educational programs for schools, scouts, and people of all ages are presented throughout New Jersey to over 23,000 people each year.

While we do not maintain a zoo, TNC does house a small collection of animals that cannot be released into the wild. These animals help to educate visitors about the needs of our local wildlife and the importance of protecting their habitats. TNC’s animal ambassadors are native or related to local species found throughout New Jersey. Many of the species are endangered, threatened, or considered a species of special concern. Learn more about our non-releasable animals by visiting our Animal Ambassadors page.

Help us care for these amazing animals by contributing to the cost of their upkeep. Your donation assists the center by providing food and medical care, improving enclosures, and supporting staff who care for them.
