Tenafly Nature Center welcomes visitors, and is open year-round. If your group of 10 or more participants is unable to schedule a program with one of our educators, contact us about a self guided visit! In order to ensure trail access, we ask that you contact Debora Davidson, the Education Director
, to set up a date and time that your group intends to visit the grounds. A suggested donation fee of $2 per person in the group will help us maintain the trails and ensure a pleasurable visit for future visitors.
While we are not a zoo, we do house a small collection of animals that cannot be released into the wild for a variety of reasons. Instead these animals are utilized to help educate visitors of all ages about the needs of our local wildlife and the importance of protecting their habitats. These education animals are native or related to local species found throughout New Jersey. Learn more about our animals by visiting our Sponsor a Species page.
As a member supported, not-for-profit organization, membership is critical to our mission. Tenafly Nature Center is independent and does not receive state or county support. Consider becoming a member today!
